Power of the Pause
When we pause and go within, we get clarity and receive information that we are seeking. This slowing down and being still allows your body to reset and recalibrate.
We are so busy these days with working long hours, scrolling on social media, watching the news and taking care of family. We don’t take enough time to pause and be still. I’m not talking about sitting and watching TV. I’m talking about being still and sitting with what is.
There is so much power in taking time to pause and doing nothing. Of course our minds will wander, which is totally normal, but we can get so much clarity by being still. During this time of pause we can turn inward and find strength and peace. When we practice slowing down and quieting our minds, we are able to listen and hear the soft subtle voice from within.
When we are so much in our heads, we tend to make irrational decisions or may be indecisive; however, when we are still and go within we make decisions from the heart. Your heart does not overthink things, it goes with what feels good.
This can be as simple as a 5 minute practice each day to just sit and breathe! Try it and see how you feel.
