Being in the Present Moment

Being in the present moment comes down to being mindful and aware of what is happening in this very moment. It is not thinking about what you didn’t do yesterday or what you need to do tomorrow or even five minutes from now. It’s when we are not worried about the past or about what’s going to happen, but being centered in the here and now. 

Being in the present moment really helps us stay connected within ourselves and acknowledges what is happening right now. We are more grateful and happier when we are in this process. All we really have is Now.

Psychology research shows you can transform your life by simply being present. Carve out some time to intentionally be present and see how things shift around you. Here are some suggestions, but be creative and see what shows up for you.

Simple ways of being in the present moment

  • Meditating

  • Breathing Exercises

  • Listening to your Body

  • Journaling

  • Feel the Feelings

  • Celebrating Wins

  • Being in Nature

  • Painting or Drawing

  • Smiling

  • Letting go of worry

  • Dreaming about the Future
