Self Awareness
The definition of self awareness is, conscious knowledge of one's own character, feelings, motives, and desires.
When we are present, we are more self aware, which is the best place to make decisions.
One way to build self awareness is by sitting quietly and doing a Body Scan.
Start from head and move down to your feet
Notice and sense what you are feeling
Identify and name the feelings
Acknowledge and be with the feelings, without judgement
Give thanks to the feelings/emotions/sensations that show up
Make a decision, with ease and do what your body is telling you
Self awareness allows us to be more aligned with the Heart.
Research suggests that when we see ourselves clearly, we are more confident and more creative. We make sounder decisions, build stronger relationships and communicate more effectively. We’re less likely to lie, cheat, and steal. We are better workers who get more promotions. And we’re more-efficient leaders with more-satisfied employees and more-profitable companies.(1)
In my BodyMind Coaching Program, we go through the process of listening to the body and feel into whatever shows up for you. We dive deeper into being more connected with yourself in order to make more aligned decisions that serve you.
To learn more about this process, schedule a discovery call to see if we are a good fit for each other.
